In the future, government legislation dictates all couples must pass the General Parenting Test to secure the qualification for parenthood. Successfully passing candidates are entitled to parenting benefits, guaranteed school districts, and substantial bonuses. Candidates who fail the test result in fines and discipline. A wealthy couple with outstanding financial and academic credentials but lacking practical skills; and an unexpectedly pregnant couple who are desperately cramming for the test. Can they both pass GPT with their perfect “plan”?

Six people bound together by a traumatic experience decide to round off a year of group therapy in style. They join each other once more, traveling up to the Scottish Lowlands for a reunion weekend in a 1970s holiday let. Soon a number of mysterious and horrifying events start to expose the cracks in their relationships, and one by one they discover that trust runs but skin-deep. A night of closure turns out to be far more final than they could have anticipated.

Among these participants was a farmer called Tongpan, who arrived with just 20 baht in his pocket. He left the seminar, returning home to find his sick wife had died. A few seminar participants sought unsuccessfully to find Tongpan, but their experience prompted them to create a script on his tragedy and eventually this film.
